Our business was started in 1984 by Michael Duranczyk. It was an idea to sell better safes then you could get a box store. He showed people that safes and protecting your valuables and firearms is something to be taken seriously. He worked with top of line companies and we still use those relationships he started today. He even sold Koi fish out of our building at one time!

In 2013 Able Safe Co. was purchased by the Osier Family from Omer. Karry and his family kept the Able Safe Co. tradition going with quality customer care and Karry's knowledge of safes and fire protection he learned from Mike Duranczyk. Karry's wife Michelle started More of Michigan variety store in the building to help local artists and crafters.

In 2022 Able Safe was purchased by 

Derek Sapikowski from Tawas, MI. and Erik Lince from Frankenmuth, MI. 

Derek is a Computer Engineer by trade but wanted a change.

 Erik is an electrical engineer who bought his first safe from Able Safe in 2021 and along with Derek, bought the business 6 months later.

Since taking over, changes have been made to improve  Able Safe's reputation by making customer service priority number one.

to make sure you get your safe as soon as possible. 

Lock changes and upgrades also locksmith services.
